Congratulations to Attorney Dean!
On October 16th, 2025 Rune Law’s very own Allison Dean was sworn in to the Maine Bar as an attorney! Attorney Nick Tomso sponsored her admission and spoke briefly to the court about Allison’s commitment to her family, her friends, the wonderful state of Maine, and of course to the profession. The court granted the motion and admitted Allison. The motion was followed by a swearing-in ceremony, where Allison took an oath to uphold the law, the constitution, and the morals of this country. Allison swore to serve her clients to the best of her ability and at the highest caliber.
Allison joined Rune Law just over a year ago after graduating law school at the University of Maine in 2024. During this time, she shadowed Nick closely, watching, learning, and even providing guidance to clients under Nick’s direct supervision. Allison has always been highly intelligent and capable, and over the last year, she has continued to grow and hone her skills as an attorney.
Allison is a first-generation Attorney, which means she is the first in her family to join our ranks. Although she is the first attorney, she is not alone in her pursuit to serve the Maine community. Allison comes from a line of professionals specializing in retirement planning, including several financial advisors. Allison knew from a young age that she wanted to work in a meaningful career and give back to her home state in a way that was impactful and important. She was drawn to estate planning after spending substantial time volunteering in assisted living communities, and experiencing first-hand the devastating impact lack of planning can have.
Allison, as a fully licensed attorney, is now seeing clients at Rune Law and is able to fully advise and guide clients through important and difficult decisions revolving around their estate plan. She practices in the areas of Estate Planning and Elder Law. If you or a loved one are interested in sitting down with Allison, you can find her calendar on our scheduling page.
